- The IXL Anti-Friction Metal Conditioner is manufactured by

- The IXL Anti-Friction Metal Conditioner is designed to reduce
friction, heat, and wear by up to 75%. And one of the nice things about it is
that it can be used in so many places, just change the amount.
- The IXL can be used in ALL engines, gasoline, diesel, or
propane, it can be used in transmissions, automatic or manual, differentials
(rear ends), transfer gear cases, power steering, hydraulics systems, freon air
conditioning system. It can also be used in generators, air compressor, lawn
mowers, any place you use synthetic or petroleum base oils. IXL is even
compatible with water and antifreeze. It tends to rejuvenate the seals and
gaskets. It keeps the FIRM and pliable. It keeps the gaskets and seals from
drying out and cracking.
- IXL is an 80% natural and 20% synthetic hydrocarbon compound.
It DOES NOT contain any teflon (PTFE), silicon, molydeum disulfide, or
graphite. It will blend with any lubricating oil or hydraulic fluid, synthetic
or petroleum based.
- The way IXL works is that it conditions the metal 3 to 5
microns deep. the IXL penetrates into the surface of the metal. It DOES NOT
bond to or build up on the surface. If you have ever seen steel under a
microscope you know that the surface of steel is full of microscopic pores,
pits and grooves. As the metals heat, ideally 130 to 150 degrees, the heat and
pressure at the friction points causes the IXL to start penetrating the surface
in such a way that it fills all the microscopic pores, pits, and scratches and
creates a smooth dense surface. It reduces friction, heat, and wear by up to
75%.
- Friction creates heat and heat is what destroys. The heat
breaks the viscosity of the oil down, that reduces the lubricity or the
lubricating ability and from there on it is wear, tear, and down time.
- The experts tell in that about 80% of the bearing wear in an
engine occurs during the first 30 seconds of a cold or dry start-up. This is
when all the oil is drained down into the oil pan and VERY little oil remains
in the friction points. It takes about 15 to 30 seconds to get oil circulated
to ALL parts if the engine. That is THE CRITICAL TIME. A cold dry start is
about the equivalent of a hard 500 mile drive as far as wear and tear on the
bearings.
- IXL is NOT a mechanic in a bottle. If a piece of equipment is
worn out, it is worn out. IXL is not going to restore it! But if there is any
life left in it the IXL will certainly extend the life of it by 60 to 80%. You
can add IXL to any equipment, new or used. Recommend that on new engines that
the ring be seated (approx. 1500-2000 miles) before adding IXL. Note: If IXL is
added before the rings are seated, the IXL will seal the cylinder walls and the
face of the rings and reduce the friction to the point that the rings will NOT
seat.
- The benefits of using IXL to reduce friction are: equipment
runs cooler, better fuel mileage ( 5-10% ), better power (up to 5%), longer
equipment life ( 60-80%)

And when you get into a situation where your equipment ABSOLUTELY HAS TO WORK,
that is when you will be glad you have IXL in you equipment!!
- For you vehicle engine, we recommend that you use just 2 ounces
of IXL per quart of oil in the crankcase initially and then use just half the
amount, just 1 ounce per quart every third oil change or approx. 10,000 miles
for an excellent maintenance program. You don't have to use it every oil
change. Also it is amazing how much easier the engine is to start with IXL in
it even at -10 degrees F, and the IXL will withstand well over 1500 degrees
F.
